The Board of Law Library Trustees governs the Imperial County Law Library pursuant to the terms of the California Government Code Sections 6300 et seq.

Law Library Rules

USE OF THE LAW LIBRARY

The Law Library is open to the legal community and the general public. Law library resources include both printed materials and high speed DSL Internet access. Use of all resources is free of charge except as specified herein.

                                    CIRCULATION

1. The Law Library Board of Trustees shall designate which books and materials may be circulated or borrowed for use outside of the Law Library as well as by whom said books or materials may be borrowed.
2. No books or other materials may be circulated, borrowed or removed from the law library.

3. If any books or materials are later designated for circulation, they may be borrowed for a maximum of five calendar days. A fine of $5.00 per day per item shall be charged for books and materials returned late. 

OTHER SERVICES

1. Printing and photocopying is available at $.25 per page, with the first 10 copies free of charge.
2. The law library computer shall be used only for legal research.
